受講生は、エコロジー経済学、持続可能性、およびウェルビーイング（身体的、精神的、社会的に良好な状態にあることを意味する概念）について理解を深めると同時に、実践家との対話をとおして持続可能なウェルビーイングを社会に実装するための考え方やスキルを身に付けます。また、批判的考察と学際的なディスカッションの方法に親しみます。
Students will deepen understanding of ecological economics, sustainability, and wellbeing (a concept that implies good states in physical, emotional, and social aspects of a person and society). They will learn frameworks and acquire skills, through conversations with practitioners, to materialize sustainable wellbeing in society. They will also familiarize themselves with critical thinking and interdisciplinary discussions.
エコロジー経済学、持続可能性、ウェルビーイングという学問や概念の基礎を振り返るとともに、ディスカッションをとおして理解を深めます。同時に、ゲスト・スピーカーとの対話をとおして、持続可能なウェルビーイングを作り出す実例や可能性、課題を学びます。受講生はグループに分かれて話し合いをし、このコースでの学びを広める方法や、身近な適用例を考えてコースの終盤で発表します。また各受講生は、与えられたテーマについてコース中に1回発表します。
The course will review basics of ecological economics, sustainability, and wellbeing. It will help students deepen understanding of these studies and concepts through discussions. It will examine, through conversations with the guest speakers, practical examples, possibilities, and challenges in materializing sustainable wellbeing in society. The students will form groups and work for projects such as to disseminate the learnings from the course or to apply them in daily life, and present the results at the end of the course. Each student will make one presentation during the course of a summary of assigned theme.

本コースの受講には、2023年春学期新座キャンパスで開講された「持続可能な福祉コミュニティ」を受講していることが望ましい。立教ゼミナール発展編は、3年4年次生を主な対象としてますが、上記コースを受講済みであれば2年生の履修も歓迎します。同コース未受講の場合には、別途配布する資料をお読みいただきます。
