Students will learn how to critically examine issues and they will review the concept of sustainability. They will also learn theories and practices on how to solve sustainability issues with daily activities. They will acquire, through discussion sessions, skills to clearly communicate their thoughts to others, as well as ways to synthesize opinions.
The course will review the concept of sustainability through the viewpoints of ecological economics and bioethics. It will then critically discuss contemporary issues of energy, climate change, and sustainability with declining population. It will examine practical examples of building sustainability in local level. The examples will include lifestyle based on agricultural activities, social and solidarity economy, self-provisioning energy, self-provisioning care, and creating jobs in local communities.

多彩な学び科目
コラボレーション科目
本科目は、担当教員の実務経験、または実務に従事するゲスト・スピーカーの招聘講義等を活かした授業である。
受講生は、批判的考察の方法を学び、持続可能性の概念を再確認します。また、持続可能性の課題を日常の暮らしの中から、具体的に解決していくための考え方や実践の例を学びます。これらを習得しつつ、自分の考えを分かりやすく人に伝える方法や、グループの意見のまとめ方をディスカッション体験を通して身に付けます。
Students will learn how to critically examine issues and they will review the concept of sustainability. They will also learn theories and practices on how to solve sustainability issues with daily activities. エコロジー経済学と生命倫理学を参考に持続可能性概念を再確認し、それを基にエネルギー、気候変動、人口減少下の持続可能性という現代社会の抱える問題点を批判的に考察します。その後、地域から持続可能性を実現していくための考え方と実践例を学びます。実践例としては、農的暮らしや社会的連帯経済、エネルギーの自給、ケアの自給、地域で職を作るなどを取り上げる予定です。
