As citizens of a global society, it is necessary for students to have a more than superficial understanding of the political and social changes brought about by globalization. To that end, this course aims to develop a deep understanding and analytical ability regarding multiple issues such as democracy, bureaucracy, gender, populism, welfare states, and the rise of emerging countries through the explanation of the latest fundamental literature in political science.
More than 30 years have passed since the term globalization was widely used, and the world and Japan have been shaken by uncertainties such as inequality, populism, gender issues, refugee crises, new wars, and pandemics. Will current international/national institutions and democracy be able to adapt to and resolve these issues? Or will new forms of politics emerge? This course will explain the structural changes in politics in a global society that is changing in many ways, selecting the latest reliable basic literature by topic and encouraging students to consider the issues.

多彩な学び科目
グローバル社会の市民として，グローバル化がもたらす政治や社会の変化について皮相的でない判断力をもつことが必要である。そのために本授業では，政治学の最新の基本的文献の解説を通し，デモクラシー，官僚制，ジェンダー，ポピュリズム，福祉国家，新興国の台頭など多面的な問題について深い理解と分析力を養うことを目標とする。

グローバル化がいわれてすでに30年以上が経ち，その間に格差社会，ポピュリズム，ジェンダー問題，新しい戦争，難民危機や感染症など不確実性が世界と日本を揺るがしている。今までの国際・各国の法制度やデモクラシーはそれに対する適応・解決が可能なのだろうか。あるいは新しい形の政治が台頭するのだろうか。本講義は多面的に変化するグルーバル社会の政治の構造変化について，最新の信頼できる基本的文献をテーマ毎に選んで解説し，履修者の考察を促す。
