The history of 20th-century Germany is inseparable from war. Germany was defeated in both World War I and World War II, which profoundly transformed its history. After the wars, Germany became a stage for the Cold War. This analysis examines Germany's tumultuous 20th century with a focus on the themes of war and media.
The period from World War I to German reunification will be examined through the lens of war, utilizing extensive visual materials as records of the era.

第一次世界大戦、第二次世界大戦ともに、ドイツは大きく関わり、戦後は冷戦の舞台となった。これらの戦争はドイツに深い爪痕を残している。
第一次大戦と敗北、ナチの台頭、第二次世界大戦とホロコースト、ふたたびの敗戦、東西分裂、そして再統一。
激動のドイツの20世紀を、戦争とメディアを軸に検証していく。
