The purpose is to acquire the knowledge and skills to live a fulfilling life while considering everyday risks from a multifaceted perspective, and to acquire the skills to survive in any situation.
At university, there may be specialized lectures in various fields dealing with crisis management and fields dealing with financial risks (insurance), etc., but there is a high possibility that anyone will actually encounter everyday There are few interdisciplinary risk management lectures dealing with risk. In this lecture, the logic of risk prevention and countermeasures will be treated as an educational resource, and risk management will be reconsidered from multiple perspectives.
In addition, the lecturer deepens learning in a seminar format by making full use of the active learning type class management style derived from 30 years of practice: mutual learning using dialogue.
In addition, the instructor of the course is also an international lifesaving trainer, and will present specialized knowledge from the perspective of emergency response and preventive safety.

ダイアログ主体の授業を貫くルールは、「参画」と「自己決定」。自分で考えて、自分で動いて参加すればするほど、楽しくなり、学びが大きくなる授業。持ってくるものは「やる気」。

科目担当者は泰阜村で実際に活動する上記NPOの代表理事である。毎週毎週、信州の山村から片道5時間（！）かけて大学に通う。

多彩な学び
本科目は、担当教員の実務経験、または実務に従事するゲスト・スピーカーの招聘講義等を活かした授業である。
日常のリスクを多面的に考察し、リスクをコントロールしつつ、豊かな人生を送るための教養と技能、そしてどのような状況にあっても生き抜くスキルを獲得することを目的とする。

大学において、様々な危機管理を扱う分野や、金融に特化したリスク（保険）等を扱う分野の専門的講義はあると思われるが、誰でもが実際に遭遇する可能性が高い日常的なリスクを扱う学際的なリスクマネジメントの講義は少ない。本講義では、リスクの予防や対処の論理を教育資源ととらえ、リスクマネジメントを多角的な視座でとらえ直すことをおこなう。
また、科目担当者が30年の実践から導き出されたアクティブラーニング型の授業運営スタイル：ダイアログ（対話）を活用した学び合いを駆使することにより、ゼミ形式における学びを深める。
なお、科目担当者は救命法国際トレーナーでもあり、緊急事態の対応や予防安全の観点から専門的知見も提示する。
