To understand the normative meaning of the provisions of the Constitution of Japan and the foundation of modern constitutionalism on which the Constitution was established.
In this course, students will learn about the Constitution of Japan while referring to their historical background, intentions of the drafters, judicial precedents, and other materials as well as comparisons with foreign countries.

To understand the normative meaning of the provisions of the Constitution of Japan and the foundation of modern constitutionalism on which the Constitution was established.
日本国憲法につき、その歴史的背景、起草者意図、判例等を参照したり、諸外国との比較にも目配りしつつ、概論的講義を行う。
