【Course Objectives】

By the end of this course, students will be able to understand key concepts and theories in second language acquisition (SLA) and apply research to their own teaching and learning. Specifically, students will understand how factors such as age, input, output, and interaction affect second language acquisition. Topics covered will also include effective vocabulary learning strategies and the definition of communication.

【Course Contents】

Through reading assignments, lectures, and group discussions, students will acquire basic principles of second language acquisition. Students will also be asked to participate in a number of group activities to better understand the concepts and theories covered in class.
