We will deal with the literary works of each European countries and consider 《the history》depicted in these works.
The purpose of this lecture is to analyze and consider the relationship between the literature and the history, to be more exact, between the histories depicted in literal works and the historical background of these works. At first we will read carefully the depiction of various genres of histories, secondly focus on the historical context of the works examined. In this way we will comprehend the intricate relationship between the literature and the history.

多彩な学び
ヨーロッパ各国（および米国や日本）の文学作品を扱い、様々な文学作品に描かれた「歴史」について考えていく。
We will deal with the literary works of each European countries and consider 《the history》depicted in these works.
本講義では、我々は文学と歴史の関係について分析・考察する。より正確には、文学のなかで描写された歴史と、それらの作品の歴史的背景との関係を考える。まず作品に描写された様々な分野の歴史（の断片）について精読し、次に取り上げた作品を現実の歴史のコンテクストに当てはめて俯瞰する。このようにして毎回の講義で、文学と歴史の錯綜した関係を解きほぐしていく。
