Through analysis of literary texts and visual expressions, we will train students' ability to consider the people and various aspects of society, customs and culture that are depicted. We will interpret literary texts and train students' ability to restructure the problems that the texts raise in their own words.
In this class, we will carefully read literary texts that depict the various disasters that war brings to people. War doesn't just happen on the battlefield; it also destroys people's lives behind the scenes. That dark shadow continues to remain even after a long time, changing people's destinies. In this class, we take up one literary text each time, share with students the questions it raises, and reflect on the act of reading literature itself.

多彩な学び科目
文学テキストや映像表現の分析を通して、そこに描かれる人間、および、社会・風俗・文化の諸相を考察する能力を鍛える。文学テキストを解釈し、そのテキストが投げかけている問題を自らの言葉で編成し直す能力を鍛える。

この授業では、〈戦禍〉すなわち戦争が人々にもたらしたさまざまな禍を描いた文学テキストを精読する。戦争は戦場だけで起こっていうことではなく銃後の暮らしをも破壊する。その暗い影は長い時間が経っても残存し続け、人々の運命を変えてしまう。この授業では、毎回、ひとつの文学テキストを取り上げ、それが投げかける問題を受講生のみなさんと共有しながら文学を読むという行為そのものについて考察をめぐらせる。
