The aim of this course is to understand buildings from a cultural perspective and to explore how meaning is projected onto them based on the times, society, culture, and individual values
Architecture emerges when we interpret cultural meanings beyond mere functionality in buildings. By examining iconic structures in architectural history, we will explore the value and evaluation of architecture from a cultural perspective. In the first half, we will discuss how to interpret cultural meanings in buildings, and in the second half, we will examine the criteria for assessing the value and significance of these structures. However, the class schedule and other details may change depending on the number of students and their interests.

多彩な学び科目
この授業は、建物を文化的側面から理解し、時代や社会・文化そして一人ひとりの価値観のありように応じて建物にどのような意味が投影されるのか、を理解することを目標とする。
The aim of this course is to understand buildings from a cultural perspective and to explore how meaning is projected onto them based on the times, society, culture, and individual values
実用を超えて文化的意味を建物から読み取る時、建築があらわれる。建築史の代表的な建物をとりあげながら、建築の価値と評価を文化的側面から考察する。前半は、建物からどのように文化的意味を読み取るのかを論じ、後半は建物の価値と評価の基準について論じる。ただし受講生の数や興味に応じて、授業日程などを変化する可能性がある。
