This course examines literature that analyzes Japanese anime and manga in terms of their expressive features and the psychological dynamics of audience reception. Students will develop the ability to apply insights from these readings in class discussions and presentations.
During the first half of the course, students will present summaries of assigned readings from the designated textbook, which will serve as the basis for class discussion. In the second half, students will will decide on a theme individually or in groups and give presentations.

本授業では、日本のアニメ・マンガを、その表現の特徴、および受け手の心的機構の観点から考察した文献を読む。受講生が、文献から得た知見を議論や発表に役立てることができるようになる。

前半では、指定のテキストに対して担当者を決め、担当者が資料を作成した上で発表し、その後、全員で議論する。後半では、個人またはグループでテーマを決めて、発表を行う。
