This course aims to explore the following two themes in depth:
The first theme focuses on the wide-ranging impacts of global warming and the choices humanity must make to shape the future. This issue requires consideration from scientific, social, and ethical perspectives.
The second theme examines how major environmental changes throughout Earth’s long history have influenced the evolution, extinction, and adaptation of life. Through this exploration, the course seeks to deepen our understanding of the interactions between life and the environment.
The relationship between humanity and the environment must be examined from multiple perspectives. It is essential to understand not only how the environment influences human life and society but also how human actions bring about changes to the environment. Therefore, this course will comprehensively explore these themes from historical, scientific, social, and ethical viewpoints.

多彩な学び
この授業では、以下の2つのテーマについて深く考察することを目的とする。
1つ目のテーマは、地球規模の温暖化がもたらす多方面への影響と、それに対して人類がどのような選択を行い、未来を形作っていくべきかについてである。この問題は、科学的・社会的・倫理的な観点から考える必要がある。
2つ目のテーマは、地球の長い歴史の中で確認されている大規模な環境変動が、生命の進化や絶滅、適応にどのような影響を与えてきたのかを探求することである。これにより、生命と環境の相互作用についての理解を深めることを目指す。
