Notes

【Course Objectives】

This course will provide the knowledge about the causes and control of plant diseases. As learning about why and how we protect the plants, you may get an idea for sustainable and eco-friendly practical agriculture system.

【Course Contents】

Plants are essential of human beings, making up 80% of the food we eat. Food plants (crops) are suffering from diseases, pests, and weeds; consequently, 20 to 40% of crops are destroyed in every year. Along with a development of transportations leading to an active inter- and intra-national trading and travelling, we must pay attention to reduce a risk of plant pests and diseases spreading.
