Just what path has Rikkyo University, which will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its establishment in this year, walked to get where it is today? In this course, students will learn about the history of Rikkyo University and its features in modern Japanese history.
This course covers the history of Rikkyo from the establishment of its predecessor school in 1874 to the latter half of the 20th century. Rikkyo University has an accumulation of research on its own history, and we will introduce the history of Rikkyo based on the results of this research. In addition, we plan to invite guest speakers who will provide important insights for this lecture. In such cases, some class plans may be changed.

今年で創立150年を迎える立教大学はこれまでどのような沿革を歩んできたのでしょうか。この授業では、日本近現代史における立教大学の歴史とその特色を学んでいきます。
Just what path has Rikkyo University, which will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its establishment in this year, walked to get where it is today? In this course, students will learn about the history of Rikkyo University and its features in modern Japanese history.
1874年の前身校の成立から、20世紀後半までの立教の歴史を扱います。本学には「自校史」研究の蓄積がありますが、その研究成果にもとづきながら立教の歩みを紹介していきます。加えて、本講義にとって重要な知見を提供するゲスト・スピーカーを招聘した授業を展開する予定です。その際には一部、授業計画を変更することがあります。
This course covers the history of Rikkyo from the establishment of its predecessor school in 1874 to the latter half of the 20th century.
