・To be able to learn about the history of Rikkyo, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary, and the social events related to it.
・Through the history of Rikkyo, students will be able to overview and explain the modern and contemporary history of Japan from the early Meiji period to the present day.
Rikkyo is celebrating its 150th anniversary. In this class, students will learn about the history of Rikkyo and its characteristics in modern Japanese history.
Specifically, the exhibition will cover the period from the establishment of the predecessor school in 1874 to the present day, and will include valuable photographic materials and videos that are not available on the Internet or other media.
The course will be based on the results of research on the history of Rikkyo and its related history.

本授業は、歴史に興味関心のある方は前提知識を活かして授業に取り組めますし、歴史が苦手な方でも写真や動画を多く紹介するので飽きずに学べます。
授業担当者は本学（新座キャンパス）卒業生です。授業担当者が所属する立教学院史資料センター（池袋キャンパス）には立教関連の資料が多数所蔵されています（https://www.rikkyo.ac.jp/research/institute/rikkyo_archives/）。
また同じ建物には展示館（https://www.rikkyo.ac.jp/campuslife/facilities/ikebukuro/hfr.html）もありますので、池袋キャンパスに行く際にはぜひ立ち寄ってみてください。

・創立150年を迎えた立教の沿革とそれに関連する社会事象について関心を持ち、学ぶことができる。
・立教の沿革をとおして明治初期から現代までの日本の近現代史を概観し、説明することができる。

立教は創立150年を迎えました。この授業では日本近現代史における立教の歴史とその特色を学んでいきます。
具体的には、1874年の前身校の成立から現代までを対象とし、ネット等でも公開されていない貴重な写真資料や動画も紹介します。
本学には「自校史」研究の蓄積があり、その研究成果にもとづきながら立教の歩みとそれに関連する歴史の授業を展開します。
