Gain knowledge about Christianity in order to become familiar with European medieval and Renaissance art
Knowledge of Christianity is essential in approaching European medieval and Renaissance art. This is because most of major works from the 5th to the 16th centuries are associated with Christianity. In this course, I will focus on representative works from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, and explain what kind of knowledge is required to understand them.

ヨーロッパの中世・ルネサンスの美術に親しむための基礎知識を得ること
Gain knowledge about Christianity in order to become familiar with European medieval and Renaissance art
ヨーロッパの中世・ルネサンスの美術にアプローチするためには、キリスト教の知識は必須です。というのも5～16世紀にかけての主要作品は、ほとんどがキリスト教と関係付けられるからです。本講座では、中世からルネサンスにかけての代表作を取り上げ、作品を理解するためにはどのような知識が必要なのかをお伝えしていこうと思います。
