In this course, we will peruse various literary works from the standpoint of the author and Christianity, or the standpoint of the work itself and Christianity. The goal of this course is to examine our findings, broadening our perspectives.
We will deal with works that are well known in Japan.
1. Works containing Christian motifs created by authors who are not Christians.
2. Works that were created by Christian authors yet are not widely recognized as Christian literature.
3. Works that were created by Christian authors and are widely considered to be Christian literature.
This course will deal with such works, reviewing the relevant background information, while attempting to discover the wise sayings, biblical references, and Christian motifs contained within.

学びの精神科目
作者自身とキリスト教、または、作品そのものとキリスト教、といった観点から文学作品を紐解き、新たに見出されるものを考察し、視野を広げることを目標とします。
In this course, we will peruse various literary works from the standpoint of the author and Christianity, or the standpoint of the work itself and Christianity. The goal of this course is to examine our findings, broadening our perspectives.
我が国でもよく知られた作品を取り上げます。
１．作者がキリスト者ではないがキリスト教的モチーフが見られるもの、
２．作者がキリスト者でありながら「キリスト教文学」とは広く認識されていないもの、
３．作者がキリスト者であり「キリスト教文学」と呼ばれているもの。
これらを取り上げ、作品の背景を確認するとともに、作品の名言、聖書の引用、キリスト教的モチーフを見出す試みを行います。
