This course aims to achieve the following three objectives: (1) to understand diverse approaches to questions concerning art (formal analysis, historical context, reception theory, etc.); (2) to acquire basic concepts and terminology in aesthetics and philosophy of art; and (3) to develop the ability to independently examine and discuss specific cases using the theoretical frameworks learned.
This course explores more advanced approaches to understanding art, going beyond the framework learned in school education. Beginning with the fundamental question of whether art should be "experienced with an open mind" or "understood intellectually," the course addresses major topics in aesthetics and philosophy of art, including the ontology of artworks, genre theory, the artworld, and reception aesthetics. Through concrete examples focusing primarily on music, the course aims to help students acquire diverse perspectives for the academic study of art.

学びの精神科目
（1）芸術をめぐる諸問題に対する多様なアプローチ方法（形式的分析、歴史的文脈、受容理論など）を理解すること、（2）美学・芸術哲学の基本概念と術語を習得すること、（3）習得した理論的枠組みを用いて、具体的な事例について自ら考察し論じる力を養うこと、以上三点を目指す。

本講義では、学校教育で学んだ芸術へのアプローチを超え、より高度な芸術理解の方法を探究する。芸術を「虚心に味わう」べきか「理解する」べきかという根本問題から出発し、作品の存在論、ジャンル論、アートワールド、受容美学など、美学・芸術哲学の主要なトピックを扱う。音楽を中心とした具体例を通じて、芸術を学問的に考察する多様な視座を身につけることを目指す。
