To develop the ability to analyze the global economy and to independently explore issues in depth.
The global economy is complex and diverse, encompassing a wide range of issues. This course aims to analyze the global economy in a comprehensive and systematic manner. The course is structured into three parts. First, it examines the connections between individual countries or regions and the global economy through cross-border flows of goods, capital, and people, with particular attention to trade, international finance, and migration. Second, it focuses on the economies of major countries and regions, examining their historical trajectories leading to the present and analyzing the world economy shaped by key players. Finally, the course draws insights and lessons from influential studies of the global economy to consider the future direction of the modern world economy.

授業の冒頭で行う各回のポイントや問題提起を踏まえて、教員からの問いかけへの解答を求める形で自ら考えながら受講する。
授業資料を電子配信するため、紙媒体の印刷、PDFファイル閲覧可能なノートパソコン（タブレットでも可）の双方を準備しておくとベターである。
（1）レジュメを配布し、レジュメに準拠したパワーポイントを用いて授業を進めていく。
（2）原則として、全授業回対面実施予定である。授業に必要なアナウンスや課題配信は、Canvas LMSを通じて行行なう。

世界経済は、複雑かつ多様であり、幅広い論点を含んでいる。本授業では、このような世界経済を、総合的かつ体系的に分析することを目指す。本授業は、3つで構成される。まず、国境を越えるモノ・マネー・ヒトの移動（貿易、国際金融、移民）を軸に、一つの国・地域と世界経済のつながりを読み解く。次に、各国・地域の経済に焦点を当て、現代に至る経緯としての歴史を見つつ、主要プレイヤーが作り出す世界経済を読み解く。最後に、世界経済の有力な研究から知恵や教訓を学び、現代世界経済の向かう道を考える。
