The objective of this course is to critically examine the issues that emerge within communities in the context of urban spatial restructuring. By engaging with these phenomena, the course seeks to facilitate analytical inquiry into concrete contemporary social challenges, including social inequality and sustainability. Through this process, students will develop the capacity to identify latent community problems, comprehend their structural underpinnings, and acquire methodological approaches for their resolution.
The course engages with a range of theoretical frameworks for analyzing urban communities and about how individuals and social groups construct community. Building on these theories, it provides an analytical lens for examining the realities of community issues—such as poverty and social inequality, ethnicity, and overtourism—that have intensified in the context of globalization. The course further aims to analyze how “community governance” is constituted through the division of roles among governmental bodies, private enterprises, and citizens in addressing these challenges.

学びの精神科目
本授業の目的は、都市空間の再編に伴い発生するコミュニティの諸問題について注目することを通して、格差社会、持続可能性などの現代社会の具体的な諸問題について分析し、コミュニティに潜在化する問題発見、問題構造の理解、問題解決の手法を身に着けることを目指す。

都市コミュニティを分析する様々な理論的枠組みを学び、個人、集団がどのようにコミュニティを形成しているのか分析する。これを基盤に、グローバル化に伴って発生している貧困格差、エスニシティ、オーバーツーリズムなどのコミュニティ問題の実態について考察する視座を提供する。問題を解決するために行政、企業、市民がどのように役割分担しながらガバナンス（共治）を形成しているのか、分析することを目指す。
