This course aims to deepen students' understanding of the relationship between law and politics through the study of legal regulations concerning criminal investigations.
When a criminal case occurs, investigative authorities such as the police conduct investigations to identify and locate suspects and to obtain and preserve evidence for future trial proceedings.During these investigations, it is sometimes necessary to restrict individual rights and freedoms in order to clarify the factual background of criminal cases. However, the law establishes various regulations to ensure these restrictions do not become unjust.This course explain the relationship between law and politics, using the legal framework governing criminal investigations and touching on basic knowledge in the field of law.

刑事事件の捜査に関する法的規律についての学習を通じ、法と政治の関係に関する理解を深める。
This course aims to deepen students' understanding of the relationship between law and politics through the study of legal regulations concerning criminal investigations.
刑事事件が発生すると、警察等の捜査機関は、将来の公判手続のために、犯人の特定・発見、証拠の収集・保全のため、捜査を実施する。この捜査の過程では、事案の真相解明のため、ときに個人の権利や自由を制約する必要があるが、法は、この制約が不当なものとならないよう、様々な規律を設けている。本授業では、この、刑事事件の捜査に関する法的規律を素材として、法学の基礎的な部分にも触れながら、法と政治の関係について説明する。
