This course critically examines today's various social issues from the perspective of social welfare studies. Through this process, students will acquire a variety of perspectives and cultivate a grounding in their own academic interests.
In this class, students will focus on various social issues by learning about the structures, systems, and ideas behind such issues, and deepen their understanding of the state of today's society. Recognizing the fact that we are all interdependent, as members of the social system, could contribute to both solving and aggravating issues; students will reflect upon how to tackle and face specific social issues and develop their own research as well as academic questions.
Social topics which this class will cover will be based one the ones raised in the textbook.
Note: Each class content is subject to change depending on the progress of the lectures.

学びの精神科目
本科目は、担当教員の実務経験、または実務に従事するゲスト・スピーカーの招聘講義等を活かした授業である。
現代社会に起きている様々な課題を社会福祉学の観点から批判的に検討する。その過程から、現代社会を読み解く多様な視点を身につけ、自らの学問的関心に引き寄せて考えることができるようになるための素地を涵養する。

本授業では、現代社会に起きている様々な課題に焦点を当て、その背景にある構造やシステム、考え方等について学び、現代社会の在り様の理解を深める。自らも社会システムの一員として、社会との相互作用との間に、課題の解決にも悪化にも貢献しうる存在であることを認識したうえで、具体的な社会課題への取り組み方や向かい方などについて各自で考え、自らの問いを進化させる。
授業は教科書の各トピックスに掲げられている課題を中心に扱う。また、講義内容は講義の進捗度によって変更することがある。
