The aim of this class is to have students learn the importance of group behavior and individual roles
ecessary to achieve goals through basketball, not only to understand the rules and acquire basic skills and tactics, but also to improve their human skills.
This class is aimed at beginners, and students will receive training based on the theme of each class in order to master basic basketball skills and tactics. In the lectures, students will learn about the history of basketball, its educational effectiveness, and the importance of role allocation in team sports. In the practical sessions, students will acquire the basic skills necessary for their assigned roles, and in the second half of the session, they will play a game to test out the skills they have acquired. In the game, each team will think of and practice ways to improve individual and team performance. Classes also include work to improve communication skills.

本授業は初心者を対象としております。
・授業形態:「対面」
1．担当教員より特別の指示のない限り，更衣はポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター（池袋キャンパス）/ 新座体育館（新座キャンパス）の更衣室で行うこと。なお，第1回目の授業より実習が始まるので，運動ができる服装・靴を準備し，授業に出席すること。屋内施設で行う授業は専用シューズを用意すること。
2．天候等により通常の実施場所とは異なる場合があるため，屋内・屋外科目に関わらず，授業前にポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター入口（池袋キャンパス）/体育館入口（新座キャンパス）の掲示板で実施場所を確認すること。
3．当年度の4月に行われる定期健康診断を必ず受診しておくこと。
※健康診断を受診すると，保健室にて通学定期乗車券発行控に「済」印（健康診断が受診済みであることを証明する印）が押されるため，それを初回授業時に提示すること。
※定期健康診断を未受診の場合は，授業参加に支障をきたすため，早急に保健室の「追加の健康診断について」のページを確認して対応すること。
4. 実習中の怪我や事故には充分注意し、担当教員から指示がある場合は、それに従い行動すること。
・Class format: Face-to-face
1. Unless otherwise directed by the instructor in charge, change of clothing should be done in the locker rooms of the Paul Rusch Athletics Center (Ikebukuro Campus) / Niiza Gymnasium (Niiza Campus). Practical training will start from the first lesson, so please prepare clothes and shoes appropriate for exercise and attend the class. Dedicated shoes should be prepared for classes held in indoor facilities.
2. As the place of the training may differ from the usual place depending on the weather, etc., confirm the location on the bulletin board at the entrance of the Paul Rusch Athletics Center (Ikebukuro Campus) / the entrance of the gymnasium (Niiza Campus) before the class regardless of whether it is held indoor or outdoor.
3. Be sure to have an annual health checkup in April of the current academic year.
*After the health checkup, the Health Center will stamp a “済” seal (a seal that certifies that the health checkup has been taken) on your student commuter pass certificate. Show that when you attend the first class.
*If you have yet not taken an annual health checkup, please check the Additional Health Checkup page of the Health Center and take actions as soon as possible, as it will hinder your participation in class.
4. Take care to avoid injuries and accidents during practical training and follow any instructions given by the instructor.
本科目は、担当教員の実務経験、または実務に従事するゲスト・スピーカーの招聘講義等を活かした授業である。
本授業ではバスケットボールを通じて目標達成に必要な集団行動の大切さと個人の役割を果たすことの大切さを学習させ、ルールの理解、基礎的な技術・戦術を習得するだけではなく、人間力の向上を目的とする目標とする。

本授業は初心者を対象とし、バスケットボールの基礎技術・戦術を身につけるために授業ごとのテーマに沿ったトレーニングを行う。講義ではバスケットボールの歴史から学び、その教育効果そしてチームスポーツでの役割分担の重要性を学ぶ。実技では自分の与えられた役割に必要な基本技術を身につけ、後半にはゲームを行い、習得した技術を試す。ゲームではチームごとに個人・チームのパフォーマンスを向上させる方法を自ら考え、実践する。授業では、コミュニケーション能力の向上のためのワークも行う。
