【Course Objectives】

This course aims to enrich students' knowledge of the culture and society of German-speaking regions while they actively learn the language through various class activities.

【Course Contents】

Based on the CEFR B1 level of German language skills acquired in the mandatory and elective courses, this course will use CEFR B2 level materials. The overall theme of this course is contemporary society in German-speaking regions, with a focus on legal, political, and economic systems as specific subject matter. The courses in this area are also positioned as preparatory courses for academic courses.

In this seminar, we will consider contemporary German politics based on German materials. As main topics, we will deal with migration, climate change, and right-wing populism. Other topics will be decided based on the participants' interests.
