This course aims to enhance the Spanish language skills by learning the Spanish language intensively in a short period of time at a school specializing in languages and having many opportunities to practice the Spanish language both in and outside class and to enrich students’ knowledge of the culture and society of Spanish-speaking regions by directly experiencing their local lifestyle and culture and through exchanges with local people.
For a few weeks during the spring vacation, students will stay in the state of Galicia, Spain to attend a short-term intensive Spanish course in the international courses held by the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC).
During the autumn semester, students must attend a total of 4 advance training courses and 1 after course (all on Saturday afternoons) for necessary preparations. Then in the spring vacation, students take a Spanish Language and culture course offered by Cursos Internacionales – USC (3 weeks) while practicing their Spanish through extracurricular activities and sharing life with people there as well as broadening their knowledge on the Spanish-speaking world. Homestay accommodation is provided for all students. Costs, including tuition, travel, and homestay expenses, are expected to be about 500,000 yen. However, as the number of participants and exchange rate fluctuates, specifics are announced during the advance training.

言語教育を専門とする機関で、短期間集中的に学習し、教室内・教室外を問わず、実際にスペイン語を使う機会を多く持つことを通して言語運用能力を高めること、また、現地での生活や文化を直接体験し、人との交流を通じて、スペイン語圏の文化と社会への知識をより深めることを目標とする。

春休みの数週間、スペインのガリシア州に滞在し、サンティアゴ・デ・コンポステーラ大学国際コースの短期スペイン語集中コースを受講する。
秋学期中に行われる計４回の事前研修と1回の事後研修（いずれも土曜日午後)に必ず出席すること。
春休み中の約３週間、サンティアゴ・デ・コンポステーラ大学国際コースのスペイン語セミナーでスペイン語を学ぶほか、課外活動や現地生活を通してスペイン語の運用を実践し、スペイン語圏の文化・社会に関する知見を広める。
現地での滞在方法はホームステイ。
費用は、現地プログラム参加費（授業料・補助教材費等），宿泊費，往復航空運賃，現地空港から研修地までの移動費などを含み約50万円程度。ただし参加人数や為替レート等により変動があるので、詳細は事前研修で発表する。

本科目の事前研修と並行して、各自でスペイン語の復習をしたり、自主的にスペイン語の学習を進めることが望ましい。１年次必修科目を既に履修済みの人はぜひ本年度中に他の自由科目も履修してほしい。
