This course aims to cultivate Spanish-Japanese/Japanese-Spanish translation and interpretation skills for future success in a global society, fostering the ability to serve as a linguistic bridge between individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
This course assumes that students have CEFR B1 level skills and will provide them with the basic skills to translate and interpret between Spanish and Japanese. Using a variety of texts and subjects, including travel information, brochures and pamphlets, newspaper articles, and TV and Podcast news, this course will treat slight differences in the translation and interpretation according to scenes, situations, gaps in meaning between the two languages, and problems that arise due to the difference in cultural and social backgrounds.

| 実践を通して翻訳・通訳技能の向上を図ることを目的としているため、積極的な受講態度が期待される。 |
講義１回あたり４時間の授業時間外学修が必要であることを目安として、予習・復習に取り組むこと。
原則、授業前にCanvas LMSで翻訳・通訳の議題またはスクリプト・音源を提示し、授業ではその解答＋αを学ぶので、課題（予習）は必須である。2週にわたって同じ教材を使用する可能性もあるため、復習にもきちんと取り組むこと。

翻訳・通訳の入門講座となるので、原則、翻訳・通訳に初めて挑戦する人向けではあるが、経験者であってもスキルアップにもつながると思われるので、スペイン語↔︎日本語の翻訳・通訳に関心がある学生は積極的に履修登録していただきたい。

CEFR B1レベルの能力がある学生が履修することを前提とし、スペイン語から日本語、日本語からスペイン語に翻訳・通訳する基礎となる技術を身につける。旅行関係の情報記事、パンフレット、新聞記事、TV・Podcastニュースなどを題材に、場面や状況に応じたニュアンスの違い、言語間での意味のギャップ、そして文化や社会的背景の位相に起因する翻訳・通訳で生じる問題についても扱う。
