The goal is to raise students' knowledge of sentence patterns and vocabulary to a level where they can use them not only in their daily lives, but also in various situations of study and research activities at the university, and to enable them to participate in undergraduate classes from the following semester.
Grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary, composition, listening comprehension, and conversation will be covered extensively. Discussions and presentations will be conducted around designated topics.

視聴覚教材（しちょうかくきょうざい）を視聴（しちょう）したり，資料（しりょう）を読（よ）んだりして，その内容（ないよう）を説明（せつめい）したり意見（いけん）を述（の）べたりする力（ちから）を伸（の）ばし，次（つぎ）の学期（がっき）から学部（がくぶ）の授業（じゅぎょう）に参加（さんか）できるようになることを目指（めざ）す。
