PEACEプログラムの学生対象 This course is for PEACE Program students |
This course is designed for students who have completed intermediate-level study. The purpose of this course is to develop students’ ability to write full reports, rather than compositions, utilizing the vocabulary and sentence patterns they have already learned.
Students will practice until they are able to compose the longer works required at the university level (e.g. research reports and similar documents). Specifically, they will be presented with numerous samples of report structures and features (examples and quotes, counterarguments, etc.), where they will encounter vocabulary and sentence patterns that they will ultimately be able to use in writing their own longer works. Rather than simply stating their own opinions, students will practice logically tying their personal perspectives to what they have read and understood in other works.

中級修了レベルの学習者を対象とする。これまでに学習した語彙や文型を使って,「作文」ではなく,レポートや報告書を書く力をつけることを目的とする。
This course is designed for students who have completed intermediate-level study. The purpose of this course is to develop students’ ability to write full reports, rather than compositions, utilizing the vocabulary and sentence patterns they have already learned.
大学レベルで必要とされる長文作成（レポートや調査報告書）のための練習を行う。具体的には,レポートの構成や機能（例示や引用,反論など）ごとにたくさんの例を示しながら,そこで使われる語彙や文型に触れ,1,500字程度のレポートを作成する。単に自分の意見を書くだけでなく,文章を読み,それを理解したうえで,自分の意見を関連付けてまとめる練習を行う。
