The course will focus on learning how to write papers longer than reports, including graduation theses and academic dissertations, enhancing students’ ability to take in information and express themselves using Japanese.
Students will learn about the composition, style, vocabulary, and connecting expressions used, as well as the sentence patterns of Japanese papers, to construct compositions and short sentences themselves. Students will then craft an actual academic paper, improving practical skills. While lectures will be given, classes will primarily be based on the participants' own academic papers, and peer editing will also be conducted.
Each class centers around themes such as “task setting,” “essay composition,” “quotations,” or “connecting expressions," then learning and sentence creation are carried out based on those themes. Created texts will become longer and more sophisticated, incorporating the abstract, etc., of the academic paper, as necessary, with the final goal of completing one written research plan. Students will be taught so that each participant develops an awareness of issues, awareness of their own mistakes, and the skills necessary to correct those mistakes.
This course is especially recommended for students who have difficulty preparing academic dissertations, graduation theses, etc.

卒業論文や学術論文など，レポートよりも長く，学術的な論文の書き方について学ぶことに重点を置きながら，日本語による受発信力をつける。
The course will focus on learning how to write papers longer than reports, including graduation theses and academic dissertations, enhancing students’ ability to take in information and express themselves using Japanese.
日本語の論文の構成，スタイル，使用される語彙や接続表現，文型の特徴について学び，自らがそれらを用いて構成の組み立てや短文作成などを行う。その後，実際の論文作成を行い，実践力をつける。講義も行うが，参加者自身の論文作成に基づいた授業を行い，ピア・エディディングも行う。
毎回，「課題設定」「論文構成」「引用」「接続表現」などのテーマを決め，そのテーマに沿った学習および短文作成を行う。随時，論文要約なども取り入れながら，作成する文章を徐々に長く，高度なものにしていき，最終的には１つの研究計画書の完成を目指す。参加者それぞれが問題意識を持ち，自分の間違いに気づき，それを修正していくスキルが身につくように授業を行う。
学術論文，卒業論文の作成に困難を感じている者には特に履修をすすめる。
