This course is intended for students with J8 level Japanese language ability. Students will deepen their understanding of the sociolinguistic aspects of the Japanese language, such as words that are en vogue, onomatopoeias, and mimetic words, improving their ability to take in information and express themselves using Japanese.
This course focuses on distinctive features of the Japanese language, including onomatopoeia and mimetic words, expressions of emotions, adverbs that convey subtle nuances, and registers and situational variation, with the aim of deepening students’ sociolinguistic understanding of Japanese and enhancing their academic Japanese competence required for university-level study.In addition, the course aims to develop students’ information literacy through the use of various tools in class activities. Specifically, students focus on a particular aspect of the Japanese language and engage in activities that make use of information tools. Through discussion, they deepen their understanding of the topic. Students also conduct research as appropriate in order to examine how Japanese is actually used in real-world contexts. Finally, students investigate a topic related to the theme, give a presentation based on their findings, and organize their research into a written report.

J8 の日本語力を持つ学生が履修することを想定した科目である。流行語，擬音語・擬態語など，社会言語学的側面から日本語についての理解を深めるとともに，日本語による受発信力をつける。
This course is intended for students with J8 level Japanese language ability. 擬音語・擬態語,様々な感情表現,微妙なニュアンスを表す副詞,位相など,日本語の特徴的な側面を取り上げ,それについての論文を読んだり,調査をしたりする。課題設定能力を高め,大学での学びに必要となる日本語運用力を向上させる。
また、授業活動で様々なツールを用い、情報リテラシーも養うことを目指す。
具体的には, 日本語の特徴的な１つの側面を取り上げ, それについて, 情報ツールを活用した活動を行ったのち, ディスカッションしながら, 理解を深めていく。また, 適宜，調査を実施し，現実社会の中での日本語使用の実態を把握する。最後には, テーマに関するトピックについて自分で調べたものをプレゼンテーションし，レポートにまとめる。
