【Course Objectives】

This course aims to enrich students' knowledge of the culture and society of Russian-speaking regions while they actively learn the language through various class activities.

【Course Contents】

Based on the CEFR A2 level of Russian language skills acquired in the mandatory and elective courses, this course will use CEFR A2 level materials. The overall theme of this course is entertainment in Russian-speaking regions, with a focus on movies and animation as specific subject matter.
This class uses russian animation and movies to improve listening comprehension. In order to match each student's grammar skill level, each person uses an individually prepared printout for their listening comprehension exercises.
Each class begins with listening comprehension. We will begin by building students' structural understanding of Russian through memorization of characters' dialogue. Students will also learn to use Russian with a computer during class.
Subjects may be modified based on preference and linguistic ability, but we are planning to cover "Krokodil Gena", "Kidnapping, Caucasian Style", "Kin-dza-dza!" and "Orchestra!".
We welcome students who have studied some grammar but have not yet mastered its usage, those who have mastered basic grammar but would like more practice to improve, or those who would simply like to be able to listen to and understand "Cheburashka".
