This course aims to develop students’ practical Chinese language proficiency for active participation in a globalized society, while cultivating the ability to act as linguistic and cultural mediators between speakers with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Course Content: The course is designed for students with Chinese proficiency at the CEFR A2 level. Students will acquire foundational skills in translation and interpreting from Japanese into Chinese. Using materials such as travel-related informational texts, brochures, newspaper articles, and news reports, the course examines differences in nuance according to context and situation, gaps in meaning between languages, and issues arising in translation and interpreting that stem from cultural and social backgrounds.

CEFR A2以上（HSK3～4級/中検3級相当）の中国語運用能力を有していることを履修の前提とする。
１年次に『春雨鐘声』および『清秋梧桐』を用いて学修した学生を対象とする。ただし、これまでに学習した内容を十分に理解・定着させていることが望ましい。
なお、中国語学習を一時中断していた学生が履修を希望する場合は、授業開始までに既習内容を十分に復習し、HSK3～4級レベルの基礎文法および必須語彙を再確認・再習得しておくことを推奨する。
【履修目安】CEFR A2以上
母語話者は履修してはならない。単位修得できないため注意すること。
将来、グローバル社会で活躍するために中国語の運用能力の育成を目指しながら、多様な文化背景を持つ相手との間に立って言語を仲介する力を養うことを目標とする。

CEFR A2レベルの能力がある学生が履修することを前提とし、日本語から中国語に翻訳・通訳する基礎となる技術を身に付ける。旅行関係の情報記事、パンフレット、新聞記事、ニュースなどを題材に、場面や状況に応じたニュアンスの違い、言語間での意味のギャップ、そして文化や社会的背景の位相に起因する翻訳・通訳で生じる問題についても扱う。
