This course aims to provide students with a fundamental ability to be active in academic areas and disciplines using the Chinese language in the future, in order that they may graduate from "learning a language" to "using a language to study their specialty. The objective is also to understand the linguistic characteristics of the Chinese language from perspectives such as "physicality, cognition, and culture," to enhance practical proficiency in Chinese.
The course is designed for students who have studied abroad or who are considering entering domestic or foreign graduate schools. The classes will use CEFR C1 level materials to develop various knowledge and skills required for communication in the Chinese academic community, and improve these skills through practical experience in the classroom. Specifically, students will learn how to research and read literature written in Chinese, write articles, ask questions in lectures and talks, and give presentations. This year, we will particularly focus on the theme of linguistics and language and culture studies.

将来、「言語を学ぶ」ことから「専門領域を言語で学ぶ」ことへ発展するために、中国語を使用して学問上の専門分野や専門領域で活躍できる力の基礎を身に付けることを目標とする。また、「身体・認知・文化」などの視点から中国語の言語特徴を理解し、中国語の運用能力を高めることも目的とする。

留学経験者や国内外の大学院への進学を考えている学生を対象に、授業ではCEFR C1レベルの教材等を使用し、中国語の学術界で必須となるさまざまなスキルやコミュニケーションに必要となる知識を身に付け、教室内での実践経験を通してそれらの能力を磨く。具体的には、中国語で書かれた文献のリサーチや講読、論文執筆、講義や講演での質問の仕方、プレゼンテーションの方法などを学ぶ。今年度は特に言語学や言語文化研究をテーマに取り上げる。
