This course aims to develop the ability to use the Korean in order to be active in a global society in the future, as well as to develop the ability to mediate between people from various cultural backgrounds.
This course assumes that students have CEFR B2 level proficiency and will prove them with the basic skills to translate and interpret from Korean into Japanese or from Japanese into Korean. The material will include travel information, pamphlets, newspaper articles, TV and radio news, etc., and will also cover the problem that arise in translation and interpretation due to the cultural and social backgrounds of the different languages.

将来、グローバル社会で活躍するために朝鮮語の運用能力の育成を目指しながら、多様な文化背景を持つ相手との間に立って言語を仲介する力を養うことを目標とする。

CEFR B2レベルの能力がある学生が履修することを前提とし、朝鮮語から日本語、日本語から朝鮮語に翻訳・通訳する基礎となる技術を身に付ける。旅行関係の情報記事、パンフレット、新聞記事、ニュースなどを題材に、場面や状況に応じたニュアンスの違い、言語間での意味のギャップ、そして文化や社会的背景の位相に起因する翻訳・通訳で生じる問題についても扱う。
