By the end of this CLIL course, students will be able to...
-define and identify literary themes and genres. (C)
-describe and interpret the plot of simple books. (L)
-explain why certain parts of books are interesting (L)
-discuss and evaluate the characters in books (C / L)
L=Language-related goal. C=content-related goal.
This class is designed to help students find the books they want to read in English and make it an enjoyable experience. At the same time, the aim is to improve reading fluency. Each week, students will discuss what they are reading in class and be introduced to books that they may not usually read. During the course, the students will do short assignments, mini-poster presentations in groups and a final presentation to the whole class.
