【Course Objectives】

Throughout this course, students will learn how to:
1) create learning goals and reflect on their learning progress
2) implement and reflect on an individual language learning plan
3) learn how to utilize multimedia sources in language learning
4) show understanding of subject-specific vocabulary
5) respond appropriately using questions/replies in presentations and cooperate in group discussions

【Course Contents】

This course is designed to support independent language learning. To achieve individual language learning goals, students will design and carry out language learning plans. Weekly discussions will be based on reflective journals and reports on out-of-class learning activities. The contents of the course will be from the students' own academic disciplines and interests. In groups, students will take part in presentations and discussion activities throughout the course.

This course is designed to support individual language learning goals. Participants will keep a learning journal and log their own learning. Homework and out-of-class learning is required in preparation for the in-class activities.
