This introductory course is for students who are interested in studying abroad in the future and want to improve their academic communication skills. Building on skills from required English language courses and including a wide range of contents relevant to studying abroad, the course focuses on developing fluency and confidence in English. The course will also help students become more independent language learners and develop the skills necessary for the TOEFL test.
Through this course, students will be able to:
-- Talk about a wide range of topics in interviews, long turns, and academic discussions
-- Write descriptions, preferences and explanations with reasons and support
-- Respond to a variety of texts through TOEFL test relevant speaking and writing tasks
-- Demonstrate an understanding of self-directed language learning strategies
-- Compile practical information about taking classes at a university abroad
-- Prepare for adapting to life in a foreign culture
Each week, students will learn skills for TOEFL test by reading a textbook. Also, students will learn and discuss how to choose schools, prepare for study abroad, live in a foreign culture and adapt to classes abroad.

Also, students are expected to preview and review all materials constantly and actively participate in classroom activities.
