This course is designed to help students find the books they want to read in English and make it an enjoyable experience. At the same time, the aim is to improve reading fluency.
By the end of this course, students will be able to do the following:
a) define and identify literary themes and genres.
b) describe and interpret the plot of simple books.
c) explain why certain parts of books are interesting
d) discuss and evaluate the characters in books
Throughout the course, students will read three novels written in simplified English. They will expand their vocabulary, learn about the authors, and explore the history and culture of the settings where the stories take place. Additionally, students will have opportunities to read and discuss books of their own choosing and give presentations to the class.
