【Course Objectives】

This course is designed to help students find the books they want to read in English and make it an enjoyable experience. At the same time, the aim is to improve reading fluency.
By the end of this course, students will be able to do the followings:

a) define and identify literary themes and genres.
b) describe and interpret the plot of simple books.
c) explain why certain parts of books are interesting
d) discuss and evaluate the characters in books

【Course Contents】

Throughout the course, students will read three novels written in simple English. They will learn new vocabulary, learn about the authors of the books, and learn the history and the culture of the places where the stories take place. The students will also have chances to read and discuss the books of their own choice and do presentations to the whole class.
