Throughout this course, students enrolled in this course will be able to:
1. Set personal learning objectives and assess their progress
2. Identify and explain the characteristics and phases of their learning plans
3. Analyze their individual learning histories while considering cultural and educational contexts
4. Develop, apply, and evaluate a personalized their language learning plan
5. Demonstrate knowledge of specialized vocabulary relevant to the subject of self-directed and reflective language learning
6. Engage effectively by asking questions and providing answers during presentations, and collaborating in their group discussions
This course is designed to promote independent language learning by guiding students in creating and implementing personalized language learning plans. Students will work toward their individual goals and share their progress during weekly in-class discussions, drawing from reflective journals about their out-of-class learning experiences. The course content will be customized to align with students’ academic fields, language learning objectives, and personal interests. Students will participate in group presentations, journal writing activities, and discussions throughout the course.
