【Course Objectives】

Through this course, students will learn:
・differences between the first language acquisition and the second language acquisition(C)
・factors influencing language acquisition (C)
・language necessary to talk about their own experiences in language learning and acquisition. (L)
・learning theories and language learning approaches (L)
・to apply learning theories and create a language learning plan (C)
・language necessary to analyze and discuss the rationale for using specific language learning methods (L)

【Course Contents】

The aims of this course are for students to learn about the differences between first language acquisition and second language acquisition, explore factors influencing language acquisition, and engage in discussion using their own experiences. Additionally, students will learn language acquisition theory, research, and pedagogy. Then students will be able to apply the knowledge in their own language learning.
