-Students will discuss historical events related to the United States in English
-Students will learn and use vocabulary necessary to describe and discuss these events
-Students will examine the social, cultural, and economic factors that occurred in the world, which directly and indirectly influenced the movement of people and ideas on the North American continent
-Student will present their interpretation of these ideas through discussions, presentations, and reflective writing assignments.
The topics of this course will cover major historical events of Unites States history. These events will be put into a historical context to help students understand why these events happened. Students will actively engage in classroom discussions and projects.
This course is designed to helps students to improve their ability to communicate in English by discussing various aspects of United States history.

Instructor lectures and instructions will be given in English. Class readings and homework will be given on paper or through Canvas website. Students will actively engage in classroom discussions and group projects. |
Students will be expected to do readings and answer homework questions about the readings outside of class. Also, students must do research and prepare for projects and presentations outside of class.
