The aims of this course are for students to gain a greater understanding of health and wellness. Students will be required to think critically each week on contemporary topics. Students will often work in groups to complete in-class tasks and presentations. The main goal is improving students’ listening, speaking, reading, writing and critical thinking skills.
Throughout this course. Students will learn how to: 1. Understand and use necessary academic vocabulary for health & wellness topics; 2. Present ideas about the topics in an original way and inquire about classmates’ ideas via discussions; 3. Administer new knowledge of the target academic field and make connections to their own experiences in discussions and presentations; 4. Cooperation with classmates on the achievement of these goals.
