Health and Wellness is an interdisciplinary subject, which aims to give students a holistic overview of what makes for good health and well-being. In this course, we will investigate the various dimensions of health and wellness in a personal and societal sense, before focusing on areas of personal interest.
There will be plenty of English discussion related to the topics and group work, along with a focus on researching and developing knowledge. You will also have a chance to improve not only your English skills, but also academic skills, such as problem-solving, debating, and critical thinking.

| 2 | Modern Lifestyles Analyse and discuss health and wellness in the modern world and identify key problem areas. |
| 3 | Recommendations Learn about current recommendations related to diet, sleep, and exercise. Evaluate and analyse current health recommendations and how to apply them to your own life. |
| 4 | Online Health Resources Critique some popular health resources. Discuss the advantages and drawbacks of various online health resources. |
| 5 | Student Report and Seminar 1 Conduct independent research, write a short report, and share with your classmates. |
| 6 | Digital Content and the Brain Learn about the impact of online content, smartphones, and AI, on your brain. Debate the impact of current online content on our intelligence and mental health. |
| 7 | Stress Learn about the causes of stress and how to better cope with it. Reflect on a stressful event and practice listening empathetically. |
| 8 | Mental Health Disorders Research common mental health disorders, such as depression. Present your research findings to your classmates and discuss raising awareness in your community. |
| 9 | Student Report and Seminar 2 Conduct independent research, write a short report, and share with your classmates. |
| 10 | Work-Life Balance Analyse the meaning of work-life balance and learn about some current related concepts. Discuss work-life balance and plan for how to survive in the working world. |
| 11 | Adult Health Investigate some of the health and lifestyle issues that people face after university. Discuss ways to maintain health in the adult world. |
| 12 | Social Determinants of Health Research the economic and social conditions that lead to poor health. Debate ways to improve health at a societal level. |

You will also need to research independently in order to participate in the seminars. This is usually on a topic of your own choosing.
