Students are expected to complete the required reading at home and then discuss and apply the concepts learned from the reading in class. Since most classroom time will be spent on interactions with others, students must be ready to participate actively.
The group research project and group presentation require collaborative work over consecutive weeks. Students who miss classes are required to contact other group members to learn about the progress and ask what they could do to help.
Students are advised to bring a computer or a tablet to class since many materials will be shared in electronic format.
