Students are expected to learn
(1) issues of key areas in development, such as poverty, urbanization, disaster, climate change, and environment;
(2) approaches and projects of development assistance in these areas; and
(3) Japanese experience that can contribute to resolving the issues in development.
The course will cover:
(1) lectures on the key areas in development, and projects and approaches of development assistance; (2) group discussions and presentations on the issues of development; and
(3) practical class by a guest speaker.

7 | Exercise I:Formulating country assistance program |
