Notes

【Course Objectives】

By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1) comprehend the Humanitarian Charter, Core Standards and Humanitarian Programme Cycle, 2) identify people in need in crisis and outline possible humanitarian responses, 3) review challenges of humanitarian assistance in protracted crises, 4) come up with lessons learned to be incorporated in follow-up action, and 5) explore way forward of humanitarian assistance through the lens of Resilience.

【Course Contents】

This course aims to examine various issues relevant to planning and implementation of humanitarian assistance by introducing field experiences in emergencies of natural disaster as well as conflict-induced protracted crises.
