【Course Objectives】

Students will voluteer at an international organization in accordance with the terms of reference (Description of Assignment).This course aims at attaining field experiences, and deepen their understanding of global issues and promotion of Sustainable Development Goals through volunteering at an UN Agency as an UN University Youth Volunteer. At the same time, students will learn specialized knowledge and technology required in international development and collaboration sectors.

【Course Contents】

[Pre-departure training] Students will participate in classes and practices on knowledge and technology required to conduct tasks and manage daily lives in emerging countries.
[Field training] Students are sent to an UN offices etc., to carry out work with the UN organization staff and locals. Students are involved in activities such as project management support, various surveys and public relations in the fields of education, environment, human rights protection, and health and sanitation, etc. Students must submit weekly, monthly, and final reports.
[Post training] Briefing will be held upon returning to home country. Participating students must report on their activities at these briefings.
