Students will acquire the basic knowledge and skills of the Portuguese (Brazilian Portuguese) language by using the knowledge of their mother language and acquired languages for comparison and contrast, while at the same time learning a pluricultural perspective by experiencing the culture of Portuguese-speaking regions.
This course targets students who wish to learn Portuguese for the first time after completing the mandatory language courses: Language A and Language B. Specifically, this course focuses on Portuguese (Brazilian Portuguese) characters, pronunciation, and basic grammar. Students will learn basic Portuguese words and expressions to acquire elementary communication skills, including introducing themselves, talking about familiar topics, and writing and reading short sentences.

これまでに修得した既修言語と母語の知識を活用し、比較・相対化しながらポルトガル語（ブラジル）の基礎となる知識・技能の修得を目指す。同時に、ポルトガル語圏の文化に触れることを通して複文化的視点を会得することを目標とする。

言語A・B必修科目の学習を経て新たにポルトガル語（ブラジル）を学ぶ学生を対象とする。
