Ecotourism, born in the latter half of the 20th century, laid the foundation for sustainable tourism. This course aims to help students understand the concept of ecotourism and, by examining practical examples from domestic and international regions, enable them to form their own perspectives on the future of tourism.
This lecture explores the subject from three perspectives:
1) Lectures on the background of ecotourism's emergence, its definition, and its development globally (including Japan)
2) Lectures on practical examples of ecotourism implementation primarily in Japan, focusing on its scope and depth
3) Lectures on contemporary tourism challenges and initiatives illuminated by ecotourism

20世紀後半に生まれ、持続可能な観光（Sustainable Tourism）を生む基盤となったエコツーリズム。この授業は、エコツーリズムというコンセプトを理解するとともに、国内外の実践地域の実例に触れることにより、これからの観光のあり方について学生自身が考えをもつことができるようになることを目標とする。
Ecotourism, born in the latter half of the 20th century, laid the foundation for sustainable tourism. This course aims to help students understand the concept of ecotourism and, by examining practical examples from domestic and international regions, enable them to form their own perspectives on the future of tourism.
本講義は次の３つの視点から学ぶ。
１）エコツーリズム誕生の背景、定義、世界（日本を含む）における展開に関する講義
２）主に日本におけるエコツーリズムの実践事例とその広がり、深さに関する講義
３）エコツーリズムが照らし出す今日の観光の課題と取り組みに関する講義
